Judge Pamela Wilson Cousins was born and raised in Jefferson County, Alabama. At a young age, she was introduced to the Methodist faith by her parents who taught her good Christian morals and values. Judge Cousins learned the importance of how to treat people with respect, the difference between doing what is right from doing what is wrong, the importance of hard work and a good education.
Judge Cousins began her career in the legal field several years ago as a Legal Assistant. Over time, she honed her legal skills by working alongside some of the best lawyers in the industry. Judge Cousins consistently demonstrates a deep love and compassion for children, which is essential for success as a Family Court Judge. She ensures that children
and families receive appropriate services such as counseling, supervised visitation, safe exchange locations, protective services, and job training skills. With her experience and dedication to helping children and families, Judge Cousins utilizes court referral programs that help strengthen families leading to her fulfillment in serving as District Judge in Jefferson County Family Court.
